casa charges no broker fee.
Getting quotes is free, with no obligation. Here is what the numbers on your quote are made of, and who collects them.
What casa charges you
No broker fee. The search, reaching the insurers that only work through agents, and a licensed agent reviewing your file and answering your questions are not billed to you. You can take a quote, sit on it, or walk away.
What you actually pay
Everything on your quote is the insurer's, not ours, and every line is itemized.
The price. Set by the insurer from your home and its own review of the risk. Two insurers can land in very different places on the same house, which is the whole reason to see more than one.
Policy fees, where the insurer charges them.
For a specialty insurer, the state surplus lines tax and a stamping fee. The state sets both, and they appear as their own lines on the quote.
Why every quote says estimate
Next to every price we show you, this sentence appears: "This is an estimate, not a premium quote or an offer of coverage. Final premium is set by the insurer after underwriting."
The insurer prices your home from the answers you gave and confirms the number when it finalizes the policy. If the confirmed price differs from what you were shown, a licensed agent brings it back to you before anything is final. You are never locked into a number you never saw.
How you pay, and who holds the money
Your insurer collects the payment. casa never holds your money, and there is no way to pay on this site at all.
Through your mortgage payment. Your servicer pays the insurer from your escrow account, so there is nothing to pay when you choose your quote.
From your bank account. Your insurer collects directly. We pass your bank details to your insurer to set that up, encrypted, and for nothing else.
