Why casa exists
California changed fast. Homeowners who had never filed a claim were told their policy would not be renewed, renewals doubled, and the one agent they knew said the FAIR Plan was all that was left.
That is usually not true. Insurers still write homes near brush, older homes, and homes with a claim on record. They work only through licensed agents, so most homeowners never learn they exist. casa was built to reach them.
Who does what
casa is the technology. It runs the search, keeps your answers in one place, and delivers your quotes. It is not an insurance company or an insurance agency.
The insurance is handled by a licensed, independent California agency that has insured homes here for more than 25 years, and a licensed person there, not a website, is responsible for your file. The agency's name and license number are at the bottom of every page, on every quote, and on your policy. You can check the number with the California Department of Insurance.
